Terms of use

reTONE is designed to run on devices with Android 4.0 or later, but it is not guaranteed to work on every device. On some devices, some features may be unavailable or may not work as intended.

reTONE includes features that change device settings. Silent DAP mode sets the volume of notifications, ringtones, calls, alarms and touch sounds to 0. Choosing "Dedicated music player" makes the HOME button open reTONE. Before uninstalling reTONE, turn off Silent DAP mode and switch to "Music app".

reTONE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT reTONE WILL WORK ON YOUR DEVICE, OR THAT IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF THE DEVELOPER'S WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO DEVICES OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, reTONE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

reTONE is free of charge. While "Network features" is off in Settings (the default), reTONE does not use the network at all. When it is on, reTONE connects only when you ask it to (for example, to load music from a NAS or a shared device, or to check for updates), or for checks you have turned on in Settings. While "Share this phone's music" is on, reTONE accepts connections from devices you have allowed. reTONE does not collect or transmit any personal information.

Your use of other apps opened from reTONE (such as music streaming services) and of device features is governed by the terms of their respective providers.

You are responsible for having the rights to the music files and other content you play with reTONE. The sharing feature is for use only between devices you own.

The reTONE name and logo belong to Iida Piano Co., Ltd. ALAC files are decoded with the Apple Lossless Audio Codec by Apple Inc., used under the Apache License 2.0.

Names, logos and marks of other companies' apps and services shown in reTONE are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. reTONE is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any device maker or music streaming service.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. The district court having jurisdiction over the developer's principal place of business shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute relating to reTONE.

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts shall remain in full force and effect.

These terms may be changed without notice.

These terms are provided in Japanese and English. In the event of any discrepancy, the Japanese version shall prevail.
